At DuaMio, we value clarity and fairness. Because we may offer digital products, digital content, online educational materials, courses, downloadable files, and physical products, different rules may apply depending on the type of purchase.

This policy explains your rights regarding withdrawal, cancellation, returns, and refunds, with a focus on applicable consumer rules in the European Union and the Netherlands, while also serving as a clear policy for international customers.

1. Right of Withdrawal for Physical Products

If you purchase a physical product from us as a consumer through our website, you generally have the legal right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days without giving any reason.

This withdrawal period starts on the day after you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, receives the product.

During this period, you may inspect the product as you would in a physical shop, to the extent necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, and functioning.

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within the 14-day withdrawal period by e-mail or by another clear written statement.

After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must return the product to us within 14 days.

2. Returns of Physical Products

Returned physical products must, where reasonably possible, be sent back:

  • with all supplied accessories;
  • in their original condition;
  • and, where reasonably possible, in the original packaging.

You are only liable for any reduction in value of the product resulting from handling the product beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer bears the direct cost of returning physical products. Where required by applicable consumer law, DuaMio will refund the original standard delivery costs relating to the withdrawn physical order.

3. Refunds for Physical Products

If you validly withdraw from the purchase of a physical product, we will refund all payments received from you for that product, including the standard delivery costs originally charged for that order where legally required.

We will process the refund as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your withdrawal. However, we may wait until we have received the returned goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

4. Exclusions from the Right of Withdrawal for Physical Products

The right of withdrawal may be excluded, to the extent permitted by law, for example in the case of:

  • products made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized products;
  • sealed products that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • products that by their nature cannot be returned;
  • products that deteriorate quickly or have a limited shelf life;
  • other categories for which the right of withdrawal is excluded under applicable consumer law.

Where such an exclusion applies, this will be clearly stated in the offer or product description before checkout.

5. Digital Products, Downloads, Courses, and Digital Content

DuaMio may offer digital products and services such as:

  • downloadable PDFs;
  • digital learning materials;
  • online courses;
  • digital bundles;
  • access-based educational content;
  • other digital products not supplied on a tangible medium.

Because these products are delivered digitally, there is no physical return process and no return shipping applies.

6. Withdrawal Rights for Digital Content

Under applicable EU consumer law, consumers may in principle have a right of withdrawal for digital content purchased online. However, this right can be lost once performance begins, provided the legal conditions are met.

If a digital product, download, or other digital content is made available immediately after purchase or within the withdrawal period, and you have:

  • given your explicit prior consent to immediate performance;
  • acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins; and
  • received the legally required confirmation where applicable,

then your statutory right of withdrawal for that digital content may no longer apply once access, download, or delivery has begun.

This applies in particular to instant downloads, direct-access digital files, paid course access, and other digital content delivered immediately after purchase. (European Commission)

To the extent required by applicable law, the customer will be asked during checkout to expressly consent to immediate delivery of digital content and to acknowledge that the statutory right of withdrawal is lost once delivery or access begins.

7. Refund Policy for Digital Products

Refunds for digital products are generally not available once access, download, or delivery has started, unless required by applicable law, unless the product was not delivered, unless there is a material defect we cannot remedy within a reasonable time, or unless DuaMio decides otherwise at its discretion.

If you experience a technical problem with a digital product, please contact us first. We will make reasonable efforts to help resolve access, format, or download issues before deciding on any refund request.

8. Digital Product Refund Requests

If you believe you are entitled to a refund for a digital product, please contact us as soon as possible at info@duamio.com and include:

  • your order number;
  • the product name;
  • the e-mail address used for the order;
  • a clear explanation of the issue.

We may ask for additional information reasonably necessary to assess the request.

9. Services and Access-Based Content

Where DuaMio offers services, memberships, subscriptions, or time-based access to content, different cancellation or termination rules may apply depending on the nature of the offer.

If a service begins during the statutory withdrawal period at your explicit request, and you later exercise a valid right of withdrawal, we may be entitled to charge a proportionate amount for the part of the service already performed, where permitted by law.

If the service or access product clearly states specific duration, renewal, or cancellation conditions, those conditions will apply in addition to this policy.

10. Cancellations by DuaMio

We reserve the right to cancel, suspend, refuse, or postpone an order, product delivery, or digital access in cases such as:

  • suspected fraud or abuse;
  • technical problems;
  • accidental pricing or publishing errors;
  • product unavailability;
  • legal or compliance concerns;
  • force majeure or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel a paid order before proper delivery has taken place, we will refund the amount paid for the affected product or service.

11. Incorrect Orders, Duplicate Payments, and Delivery Problems

If you believe you have placed an order in error, were charged twice, or did not receive the product or access you purchased, please contact us promptly.

Where appropriate, and after review, we may:

  • correct the order;
  • re-send access or files;
  • provide a replacement;
  • issue a full or partial refund;
  • or propose another reasonable solution.

Where required by law, a model withdrawal form will be made available to consumers. Consumers may also exercise their withdrawal right by sending any other clear statement of withdrawal.
